Twitter is here to stay on the internet. This social media platform gains more and more enthusiastic users. It's an easy way to stay in touch with your family, friends and colleagues. But you can find interesting tweets from celebrities too. Who is really worth following? A lot of celebrities only use Twitter to do announcements. Or they joined Twitter but never write something. Boring! A series of articles about fun tweeps. In this one: singers.
A few suggestions to add to your list "following":
Singers
@ladygaga
Singer Lady Gaga is the most popular tweep of all. She has over 10 million followers and with that number she is just a bit more appreciated than teen idol Justin Bieber. Big difference between the two of them is that Justin is known for retweeting compliments, but Lady Gaga likes to get into a dialogue with her fans. She calls her fans monsters. When Gaga hit 10 million followers, she wrote: "10MillionMonsters! I am speechless, we did it! It's an illness how I love you. Leaving London smiling".
@Pink
This lady is very popular too with almost 4 million users. Pink, singer from the United States of America, is an active tweep. She uses her account to get in touch with her fans. Pink invests time in her followers. Here's an example: when Pink was waiting for her delayed flight she announced: "Allright, flight delayed 3 hrs.. so let's get this Twitter party started. Who wants some?" She took time to answer many questions from her fans.
@GeorgeMichael
With over 1,100 tweeps, we can say George Michael is an active tweep. In only a few months' time he gained over 150,000 followers. George Michael's account is funny to read because he is a very open person. He is not afraid to express himself through Twitter. George Michael arranged a gift for William and Kate's wedding using Twitter. An example of his frank tweets: "I have never and will never apologise for my sex life! Gay sex is natural, gay sex is good! Not everybody does it, but.. haha." With this tweet George reacted to an article in the newspaper which suggested he apologised for his sex life. He used several tweets to let his followers know he never apologised for that.
Your idol wasn't mentioned above?
There are many other singers on Twitter: @Beyonce, @Shakira, @Ricky_Martin, @Kylieminogue, @50cent, @Amywinehouse, @Britneyspears, @BrunoMars, @JanetJackson, @JLo, @Justinbieber, @Jtimberlake and many others.
How to be sure it's the real one?
Twitter tags accounts of celebrities. There's a blue and white sign behind the name of a real celebrity.
